1. Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Playa del Carmen is one of the top diving destinations in the world, thanks to vibrant sea life and dazzling underwater caverns. On dry land, Playa is a hipper and more modern version of the fishing village it once was. Spend some quality time on the golf course or wave hello to the playful spider monkeys at The Jungle Place sanctuary. Explore the ancient ruins of the Coba Mayan Village, visit Maroma beach and Xcaret or get in some quality people-watching as you shop and stroll along 5th Avenue.
Xcaret
Natural sanctuary where the history of Mexico combines with fun traditions and the splendor of the Mayan culture. I open my doors along the Caribbean Sea and invite you to discover magical experiences where underground rivers await you, along with the fauna of the Mayan jungle and unforgettable shows. Fall in love with my culture and my people...
Maroma Beach
Quite possibly the most exquisite secret in Mexico, Maroma Beach is a resort hideaway intent on preserving the ecology of its 500-plus acres of beach and rain forest, all the while taking individual service and luxury to unprecedented heights. Maroma is nestled into the coast of the Yucatan Peninsula and lies a mere 30 miles south of Cancun, but thankfully, remains worlds away from this spring break hot spot's pace and lifestyle.
2. Puerto Morelos, Mexico
Puerto Morelos is considered to be the gateway to the Mayan Riviera. Its warm, welcoming beaches match the temperament of its people. The main beach is in the center of town, with smooth, natural sand and cerulean waters.
The reef surrounding these idyllic beaches is a protected national marine park and houses tropical fish, dolphins, turtles and corals. It's the perfect place to snorkel and appreciate the natural beauty of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Cenotes Route
Located in Puerto Morelos and conformed by almost 50 kilometers of dense jungle, it is still an unknown place for almost half of the visitors both foreign and national; these magical places show us the other side of traditional tourism! A green tourism that according to the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO), green tourism has increased by 5% representing 8% of the total number of travelers.
Puerto Morelos Reef National Park
The Puerto Morelos Reef National Park forms part of the reef barrier known as the "Great Western Reef Belt" (also known as the "Great Mayan Reef" and belongs to the "Mesoamerican Reef System") considered the second largest reef barrier in the world, and this section of the barrier, located opposite Puerto Morelos, extends north to the border with the Costa Occidental National Park of Isla Mujeres, Punta Cancún and Punta Nizuc, and 40 km to the southeast is the National Park Arrecifes of Cozumel.
3. Tulum, Mexico
Mayan ruins tower over the sea in Tulum. The formerly walled city was one of the last to be built by the Mayans, and its archaeological sites are incredibly well preserved. Take a break from the beach to visit El Castillo, the Temple of the Frescoes, and the Temple of the Descending God. Explore an underground river under a canopy of stalactites in the sacred caverns of LabnaHa Eco Park, or dive into Cenote Dos Ojos to snorkel inside of caves in the middle of a forest.

Dos Ojos Park
For many the best Cenote in the Riviera Maya: Dos Ojos is considered the paradise of cave diving and is not for less. It is one of the most visited cenotes as it is for novice and experienced divers. These are three different caves connected by underground rivers. I recommend hiring a guide to snorkel or dive, an underwater camera and I will not tell you more. There are services, hammocks and places to rest. Come and fill yourself with Magia !. Tip: Try to get there early, this is 14 kilometers from Tulum, you can arrive by taxi or car, along the road looking for the diversion to a narrow dirt road.
Xelha Park
4. Cozumel, Mexico
One of the top diving destinations in the world for its bright storybook coral reefs, the island of Cozumel is also home to a variety of natural beaches. Choose a beach with soft white sand for relaxing, or snorkel off a rockier vista. A destination for both adventure and romance, Cozumel has a year-round Caribbean climate, untrammeled jungle and abundant nightlife.

5. Cancun, Mexico
Sunny Cancun has much more to offer than its party-town reputation might suggest. Plenty of gorgeous, drama-free family resorts cater to folks who want to experience the tropical Yucatan climate. There are significant Mayan ruins here, such as El Rey and the Yamil Lu’um, a crumbling tower of pale gray stone. Learn more about this ancient civilization at the Museo Maya de Cancun. For a literal taste of Mexico, take a tour of the Museo Sensorial del Tequila.
